[FUNCTION] Thrombin-like snake venom serine protease. Cleaves bonds after Arg and Lys, converts fibrinogen to fibrin and releases fibrinopeptide A, fibrinopeptide, and fibrinogen peptide Bbeta1-42. Does not activate factor XIII. Has a blood clotting activity.
[ENZYME REGULATION] Inhibited by 4-(2-aminoethyl)-benzensulfonyl fluoride. Not inhibited by antithrombin-III.
[SUBUNIT] Monomer.
[SUBCELLULAR LOCATION] Secreted protein.
[TISSUE SPECIFICITY] Expressed by the venom gland.
